If you still search a place to lay your head in the Munich regions, you are now a bit too late, because all hotels, hostels and boarding houses are traditionally completely booked up some weeks before the start of the Wiesn. Lucky who booked fast enough or has friends or relatives in Bavaria. Not to speak of the lokals. These regard the time of the Wiesn as a holy time, some of them say it is the 5th season.
