At the Zoo Hellabrunn, situated direktly at the ports of Munich as an idyliic natural island in the landscape conservation area of the Isar, visitors sample a jourened around the world.

In this worldwide oldest Geo-Zoo the parts of the park are structured to mate with the continents and individual highlights. With its 36 hectare ist is integrated in the surrounding floodplain. Tha natural habitats without fences and railings allow it to relax in the nature and to observe the animals without troubling them.

Natural habitats do also create ideal contitions for breeding endangered species. Hellabrunn does not only support the worldwide programs for release endangered zoogenesis, but also accompanies the protection of species on site with all its knowledge

To give the visitor a bigger experience with the foreign animals, the keeper introduce their darlings in special presentations and recount informative and fascinating stories from the animals everyday life.

Two pet-enclosures allov the little ones a personal contact to the animals. At the adventure playground they can let off steam. The restauant and a lot of kiosks present a wide range of culinarian delicacy.

The Centre of Animalprotection and Protection of Species was opened in 2007.
